Spring Break
The sun is out to stay for a while! We have kayaks ready to bring to help you enjoy your Spring break.
A chilly April
To be honest, it was a chilly and windy couple of days. We took the opportunity to refresh our pine straw and check out Ev-Henwood Nature Preserve. Looking forward to a beautiful week ahead. Let us know if you want to include some time on the water in your week.
April 2021
A short kayak or a canoe ride can transport you to so many of the amazing places Wilmington has to offer. Happy Easter from our family.
March 2021
Sometimes the weather in March can be unpredictable. Sunny and warm or cloudy and chilly. We love getting on the water regardless in March. The bugs aren’t biting. The fishing is getting better. The crowds haven’t arrived. Shark Tooth Island is a wonderful and short kayak ride way off of River Road Park. As the name hints, there are sharks’ teeth and shells to be found and lots of land to explore. Let us help you with the heavy lifting so you can get outdoors to adventure and have fun.
First Customer
Our first customer was yesterday. He went out kayaking along Hewlett Creek. What a fun and beautiful adventure.
A Water Family
The water has always had meaningful effect on our family. From our honeymoon to our first family of three vacation all the way to our most recent adventure to the west coast of Washington State, our family has always loved the water. Wherever we have lived or traveled, we always seem to find ourselves exploring the water whether it’s a lake, river, the ocean, a waterfall or a simple pond. We are enthralled with watching the water flow, boating to nearby hammock islands, examining the wildlife, skipping rocks, going fishing, swimming, kayaking into shallow creeks, and just meandering through it’s shore. Since March of 2020, our family has spent more time than ever before in the water and on the water. We have boated, canoed, kayaked, swam, fished, camped, and explored. Out of this intense time of quarrenting and rethinking the way we live and experience the world, our family found peace, fun and a renourishment of our soul along the water. Kingfisher Outdoor Adventures was born out of this season. We know that there are others in our community who are longing to get on the water and experience some fun, adventure, peace and community. We also know, as a family of 6, always having enough kayaks or canoes, paddles and life jackets can be a hindrance for an afternoon excursion on the water. Let us help you with some of the heavy lifting. Kingfisher Outdoor Adventures is ready to meet you at the water’s edge with what you need for your next adventure.
New Adventure
Over the last 12 months, I have spent more time with my family than ever before. We have sharpened, encouraged, and challenged one another as we journey through this stage of life together. It is out of this time of adventuring, imagining, surviving, and dreaming that I am excited to announce the creation of a family business called Kingfisher Outdoor Adventures . We are excited to offer a mobile kayak rental option to the Wilmington area. Check us out, like us, and please share what we are up to.
